Line-Up Change
We have some good news and some bad news. We'll start with the bad news. Due to circumstances beyond their control, Broken Ground are sadly unable to attend this year's festival.
Now the good news. Broken Ground will be replaced by the duo of Gerry Cooper and Phil Snell.

"Featuring Ragtime, Jugband and Country Blues styles on guitars, mandolin, harmonica and fiddle, they present a programme of songs and tunes old and new, accompanied by amiable banter underpinned by many years’ experience in a wide range of musical genres."
Meet and Greet Session at The Union
The 2013 Malton and Norton Folk Festival kicks off with a Meet and Greet session at The Union in Norton on Friday 19th April. Come along, meet everyone and get ready for the following day filled with bands, dancers and activities.
Over The Yardarm will be playing at the session and getting us in the mood for a weekend of Folk music and dance. Find out more about this "folk jiggernaut" on the Line-Up page or check out their video below.

Line-up Change
There's been a change to the line-up for this year's festival.
We are sad to announce that Plumhall will no longer be playing at the festival this year.
However, every cloud has a silver lining, as they say, and we are pleased to announce Nick Hall will still be playing at the festival with his band The Hall Brothers.
The Hall Brothers played the festival in 2011 and we are very excited to have them again. We know you'll love them!
International Dance Workshop
The wonderful Belinda Gee will again be running an International Dance Workshop on the Saturday of the Folk Festival at The Blue Ball.
The workshop will be running from 11.30am to 12.30pm and is open to everybody; no experience is required just enthusiasm and a desire to have some fun!
